Inspection rounds monitor 90 products in violation of the "Kafaa" card
Inspection tours to household appliances outlets, to ensure that the EE label are affixed on products, have detected 90 violating products. It should be noted that the five government entities, conducting such visits are the Ministry of Industry Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Commerce, Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization “SASO”, Saudi Customs, and the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center “SEEC”.
The inspection tours covered all the regions around the Kingdom, where 2161 outlets were visited. As a result, 5 violating outlets and 90 violating products were detected. Violations were represented in finding old “Stars” energy efficiency labels on products instead of the new labels with “levels”.
